Poem Heathcliff

FEATURED POETRY - ARCHIVE

To Heathcliff

As I address these sad lines to you
I have drifted far from you
or,
have you walked away from me?
Leaving Catherine in the lonely, cold Yorkshire moors
have you forgotten her eternal love,
does this amount to grief and parting
I will never know,
you have wrecked me Heathcliff
but I find pure pleasure
in my twisted state of sorrow,
it's a sorrowful yearning
for the Heathcliff you were,
you will always be the Heathcliff I knew,
and I will always be Catherine,
roaming the moors alone.
