The New Writer Interview

editor@unheardwords.com interviews one of unheard words first contributors, Michael Harvey to find out what new writing means.
editor@ Michael Harvey
What words do you think the world is crying out to hear?
Mine. Hey, 'old on one minute there. I know I agreed to this but I want to just get something off my ches' before I said anything official like?
Fine.
I think the unheard words thing is good an that, don't get me wrong, but why would any one be interested in an interview with me? I don't get where this whole idea's going.
Interesting point, but as it's me and not your good self asking the questions (broad smile). Take 2. What words do you think the world is crying out to hear?
Humm ok. For honest words. For stuff that tells of life as you live it. Example, I've never wandered lonely as a cloud. I have wandered lonely as a man with black skin. Sought my fortune in difficult circumstances. Had to become a man by forging something of what a man is from fragments of my own imagination. That's been tough. Dat's been interesting.
So do your words give the world honesty?
No not always (as I'm unpublished they're not giving it very much at present). That kinda goes in the draw marked, 'what I'd like to say', which is different from what ofen comes out of my mouth. Poetry is difficult that way, mine wants to take the twisted hurt words and romanticify them.
Why do you think you haven't been published?
Haven't tried I guess. Haven't had the time. Kinda bin involved man with whole load of other things. Kinda betrayed me for money. I've got loads of excuses, nothing to write about, can't write about anything, what's the point no ones gonna read this stuff and all dat.
Will you be published some day?
I hope so. The grey memoirs of an elderly grey man. First I need to get my working life and family life. Work Life Balance, as it's called. In context. Then those novels that I have inside a me will make the page.
Let's hope so. I'd like to serialize them on the site (smile).

Thanks to Michael Harvey (age 25+), who's working on a few poems at present. I'm hoping to persuade him to contribute one or two more to this site, wish me luck.
