Sense, Scene, Set

The sense, the scene, the set,
the love you gave,
the love we made.

Wide eyes never saw,
lifetimes came and went,
we are like,
mirrors you and I, one of the other.

Memories, movement, moments,
fate finely lit and fortune,
ours real love, real fools,
fake love, like fools gold,
worthless as stone.

What’s in a place, a face,
what’s in a name, game, fame, tame, lame, aim,
blame,
what is in a moment. Torment.
What’s in a town, a county,
a country.
Another country.

What did we have, what we have,
what do we have, what we had,
what could we have,
would have had.
