| 5th July 2010 What do I write? |

And, as the procession of elephants left London at the end of June, I began to realise that the coming of summer now meant the full onset of summer. |
| There was a slight panic in my mind as the decorative, elaborately painted works of visual street art began to disappear from around me - |

| their coming seemed to mark the long slow turn from what had been a cruel cool spring – |

![]() |
and their premature departure threatened (in my feeble mind anyway) to curtail the overdue shiny shards of sunlight; long awaited, long desired. |

Now I realise there are still another two, optimistically, three months to go and that makes me smile. |
| Only, the dignified exit of these colourful beasts is symbolic in another personal way. The disappearance of their vivid artistry marking the fade to grey of my imagination, leaving me wondering, ‘what do I write?’ |

| And, it’s this question I’d like to call on you to help me with – I'd like to engage you with in a spirit of generous creativity, you fellow writer and / or reader, in the hope of your help in addressing my writing dilemma. |
