The Music of Humanity   -for Aime Cesaire
The music of humanity is beautiful
the music sings
the music touches the heart
of the man
the woman
the child
Yes!

The music touches the heart
of the old
the young
the young at heart
Yes...

The music of humanity is beautiful
the colours

the songs of life
the sun at dusk
the morning sun
the mourning song

The music of humanity
is beautiful
is beautiful
Yes?

The music of humanity
is consciousness
the wild wind
the tranquil sea
the quiet stone

The music of humanity is
my reason for being
Yes!
Yes!
Yes!

Inspiration: The Music of Humanity
"There is a man who on occasion plays the saxophone at High Street Market. I don't know his ethnicity, but he seems to be a Son of Music. People pass by, on their way to buy things and more things. He is background for their moving---kilowatts of colours, sonatas for baby strollers.

Is he felt I wonder - no one leaves money in his open case.

Once I gave him a two pound piece, but it saddens me when my pockets are empty because I want him to know that his blue noise are rain-cloud chants at twilight, Sun mantras at dusk - resisting mediocrity / resisting broken shadows - illuminating myriad dances of rainbow peoples and organic elements.

I can feel quite ordinary but he is playing Take Five - and I am gliding down High Street dipping to his sound and the sounds of vendors blowing
"Naaaanabow" - a bowl of bananas for a pound.

I notice his absence, when he is not there, blessing us with his passion - with his urge because for me it's still about the music, when it ain't about money - but we all have to survive ya know?" Kamaria, 2007
