FEATURED POETRY

You know what it’s like?

Do you know what it’s like

When your mind goes on strike?

When you’re laying with Mister Quiver

And those legs won’t STOP to shiver!

When he is not about...
In everything, somehow...
You manage to see him
And you simply want to scream

A spoon, a gentle peck I didn’t suspect

A tickle, a loving stroke I didn’t provoke

A shelter, a caring advice I didn’t recognise

A talk, an avid debate I didn’t quite rate

A poem, a baby ‘love phrase’ we can both raise

And only by the sense of his touch...NO! Just SIGHT
My heart skips a beat...NO! FIVE
And just by the sound of his voice...NO! LAUGHTER
My whole body starts to shudder...STOP!
(Infer the THERE AFTER)

He puts up with your stresses and calls you his queen
Another "year on" no longer seems obscene
As you Understand
That besides his "otherness"...
He gives you love and renders…. happiness!
